There is a new study beginning the spring/summer of 2007 in Warrenton, VA to address the excessive dry mouth patients experience after undergoing radiation treatment for head & neck cancer. The primary objective is to assess the impact of the drug Evoxac (cevimeline) on salivary flow at a dose of 30mg three times daily. Tonsillectomy Reduces Frequency of Strep Pharyngitis in Children

A recently published article suggested that tonsillectomy was associated with a decrease in the incidence and frequency and an increase in the time to the next infection in children with recurrent strep throat.
